Database on MongoDB Atlas Flex in TEP's Atlas organisation
Date: 2026-10-30 · Status: Accepted
Context
Section titled “Context”The previous Atlas cluster was gone and no data was lost with it: BA has no beta users yet.
Decision
Section titled “Decision”A new project for BA in TEP’s existing Atlas organisation, one Flex cluster, ba-staging. Upgrade to M10 with one click when there are real users.
Consequences
Section titled “Consequences”Cost is capped at about USD 30 a month. Flex is not offered in Azure Australia East, so the cluster runs in AWS Sydney (ADR 002). The apps reach it over the public internet with TLS; the IP access list is open because the Container Apps environment has no fixed egress.
